This lovely example of the Davenport Drunken Sal Toby jug features on page 73 of the 1992 edition of Miller’s Antiques Price Guide in the colour review. I acquired her along with other fine Toby jugs from a delightful couple in the Lake District – when they bought her the dealer failed to mention a firing line to the side which I have now had fixed and she looks perfect.
