Lightly potted, well moulded and coloured in rich translucent running glazes this is a fine Ralph Wood Toby jug in the "51" raised glass mould and bearing the rare underbase impressed 51. In addition he has the raised little finger and "blind" left eye and was number 231 in the Lord Mackintosh of Halifax collection with his collection label to the underside. Quite a Toby jug!
