Good Staffordshire redware punch pot c.1760 - "used to pour tea for Queen Victoria"

A most impressive (12" from handle to spout) redware punch pot with crisp sprigging and an impressed pseudo chinese mark to base. Various handwritten notes contained within the pot suggesting: "given to Marie's aunt Mrs Clough by the then Lord Derby who told her the Queen had her tea from it", "purchased from Sugerstep Hall, Bollington in Macclesfield 1933", "This Tea-pot came from the home of the present Earl of Derby's father and Queen Victoria had her tea whilst staying with the Earl of Derby from this tea pot"
