In very good unrestored condition an exceptional Toby jug Staffordshire c1790. The creamware body well decorated in manganese and cobalt with a striking rosette on his tricorn hat, however, what makes him rare is the original short pipe in his mouth - only the second I've seen in 18 years. Bright glaze and looking as fresh as the day he came out of the kiln some 230 years ago!
