The finest creamware Toby jug's that I've had and in my collection since I acquired him at Bonhams in 2004. Beautifully moulded and delicately decorated in manganese and blue - an excellent Toby jug. Completely unrestored - front corners clearly detached on 1st firing but decoration and 2nd firing went ahead - it would be simple to restore this but none of the many owners over the past 235 years or so have seen fit to do so - why on earth should they he's magnificent as he is!
