This is a very attractive Prattware Thin Man Toby jug c.1780 richly decorated in translucent manganese, cobalt blue and green glazes with his small jug in "terracotta"made - made even more striking with the addition of the tall cap or "cup". I have only seen one Thin Man Toby jug with it's original tall cap and had my restorer make one for this Toby as it looks so good - I rarely embellish a Toby jug but in this case it was worthwhile and the cap is marked accordingly.
