This is a particularly well made and decorated pearlware Toby jug - lightly potted and coloured in translucent ochre, cobalt, green and grey glazes and in very nice original condition. I like the fact that over some 200 years or so no-one has attempted to paint over the glaze loss on the small jug - it adds character and keeps this as a very honest and original Toby jug!
